Wheresmytab: an autocritique
This Ment' ath I take time to reflect on past posts in this journal. I am looking for ways to improve my discourse here as well as clues about myself.
My first post here almost two years ago was about how I had "finished" Modern Cosmology by Dodelson. I am currently working on a paper that summarizes much of this book and I now know that I didnt get it at all! Now I know why he does what he does and can reproduce a little of the how.
A month later I posted about Green's Theorem in Jackson but my writing only makes sense in the context of my thinking during that short moment. Sitting there staring at that page of Classical Electrodynamics what I wrote made perfect sense. However now it is useless. I should have taken five minutes to put in the chapter or page or equation numbers. Doing this would probably have made me be a little more careful describing what I was thinking and then it would probably still be interesting today. As it is I am no longer "quietly awed".
To date I have posted 52 times, reviewing the entirety here in this post is not feasible. Today I have labeled most of them. In doing so I come to the following conclusions:

- Most of my posts fill occupy the raggedy edges of interesting thoughts. For in January of this year I mentioned using perl libraries to access the NASA ADS system and do my own unique searching. Since then I have written at least one script which uses the ADS system to find the intersections of citation or reference lists. Why didnt I post about this?!
- Posts are not complete. In most cases the full story is not apparent to another reader. Someday soon I will have completely forgotton my state of mind and I will be in the same boat is this reader. I first posed this question to myself in September and tried to exercise the principle the next day. That post did take some more time to write but I think it was worth it.
